2708 Diagnostics has failed - solid amber

I have a dell 2708 switch that was working fine 3 days ago, i switched it over into managed mode and now i only get solid amber lights on any of the ports. i switched it back to un-managed, lights remain amber, unplugged the power, left it for some hours, tried it all again, same thing is this fixable or is this switch toast? It was barely used except recently for a test network config.
