N4000: add private VLAN to Trunk
Hi there
I'm trying to add private VLAN to my network which is already segmented to various VLANs.
Unfortunately I did not find info on how to force traffic from private VLAN go directly to Trunk. My devices are as following: Sw1 N4032F Sw2 N2048P Sw3 N2048P
I do not know how to allow my regular VLANs to flow between Sw2 and Sw3 >>> when I change "promiscuous" port to "trunk" I can't send private VLANs and vice versa.
Article https://www.dell.com/community/Networking-General/how-to-add-a-private-vlan-to-trunk/m-p/4699506#M26964 does not help as it has no info on how to combine functions of promiscuous and trunk modes. In additional resources found that Dell switches have command "switchport mode private-vlan trunk" which actually should solve my question, but it looks like this command\function is not available on my N4032\N2048 switches.
Perhaps you have any ideas on how to allow all traffic in such case.
Many thanks!
Alex

Going through the manual again, it looks like that the private VLAN ports can only communicate with promiscuous ports.

Hi,
Does the trunk port carry the VLAN that is assigned as the primary VLAN for the PVLAN? Page 807 https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_networking/esuprt_net_fxd_prt_swtchs/networking-n4000-series_administrator-guide_en-us.pdf

Hi,
Yes, my Trunk allows all traffic.
Port configuration is like following:
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk native vlan 10
switchport trunk allowed vlan 2-4093
Thank you!

What about svi ? Can isolated port communicate to Gateway terminated on primary vlan ?
