PowerConnect 3024 and 3048 Continuously Failing
I have 3 Dell PowerConnect Switches, 2 3024's and 1 3048. I've had them replaced 3 times for failing. When they fail, all the proper lights come on, even link lights, but the switches will not transmit data nor can I access the console. There is a surge protector on our main data circuit, and the switches are on a brand new APC 1500va UPS (was replaced after the last failure). Anything I should look for? The only thing I could think of is that a surge is coming in through one of the RJ45's from a workstation, but I really have no way of determining how. I've run low-end Netgear 24 port switches for months on end with no problem, but the PowerConnect's normally last a month or two tops before requiring replacement. I'd like to get some ideas before I wire up my latest batch of replacements.

We have 5 3348's throughout our network and not a single one of them has had a problem like this. They appear to be much more stable than their predecessors. The code we are currently running on them is:
SW version 1.0.0.52 ( date 29-Jun-2003 time 19:04:06 )
Boot version 1.0.0.13 ( date 11-May-2003 time 14:58:20 )
HW version 00.00.01
I will at some point be upgrading them to 1.2.0.6 but for now if it ain't broke...

Hello,
could somebody please send me v6.1.5 firmware for Dell PowerConnect 3024? It's 2010 and this firmware hasn't been made public yet ever since 2005. Firmware v6.1.2 is almost useless and it makes me want to jump out of the window :(

Can you send me the 6.1.4 version of the firmware for the 3024 switch. Its still not on the support website to download. Our switches have been locking up on the 6.1.2 vesion.

I need firmware 6.1.5 as well. I have several 3048 and 3024 switches. Did you get the firmware from Dell? Thanks

I'm very interested in the latest firmware version for this switch. Would anybody care to share 6.1.5? I have searched the internet but could not find the actual file.
