Transceiver 3rd party
Good Day Friends,
we know that dell have many transceiver compatibility matrix for the dell network devices, but I have a question , I have transceiver huawei P/N : 02310PVU Model : OSX080N04, 10GB-80KM-1550nm, and try to using it on Dell S4148F-ON, with Firmware OS10.5.2.3, but when i do show inventory media, the information is different like below :
1/1/40 SFP28 SFP28 25GBASE-SR-AOC 03T1184***** false
does anyone can explain this..?
because we have problem power tx from that device,
here is when i check using : sh interface phy-eth 1/1/40 tranceiver , like below :
SW# show interface phy-eth 1/1/40 transceiver

Hello,
probably something related to the transceiver compatibility. The issue is the same on other ports?
Did you check this document? Maybe it can help you
https://dell.to/2PtkPrk
Thanks

Hi Marco,
Thanks for your respon.
yes,the issue is still the same when i plug into other port and port on another switch 4148F,
of course i have check the compatibility, but we know that sometimes
SFP 3rd party can work on switch dell.
so i think it means that huawei tranceiver not compatible with dell.
but it stranges me why dell detect the tranceiver as 25GB ..

Yes pretty sure then that it is not compatibile. I cannot tell you why is detect as 25GB, let's see if other customer can have this answer.
Thanks
Marco
