n2048 / iscsi
hi there,
We have a branch office that has a couple of n2048s. The intention is to use these for iSCSI (equallogic ps4000) and network traffic.
One problem we have found is that you cannot set individual ports for jumbo frames - its all or nothing.
My concern was that if we set jumbo frames on ports used for general network traffic (i.e. not isci) there may be a performance problem as none of the PCs etc are configured to use jumbo frames. Is that the case?
Cheers,
Huw

I don't think you'll run into any performance problems with jumbo frames enabled. there are some situations where you may see performance issues, like with a VOIP deployment and the use of Jumbo frames. After you enable jumbo frames check performance to be sure it is not affecting the rest of the network traffic.
