1350 wireless network card radio DISABLED

I'm new to these forums and to also setting up a wireless network, so please bear with me.  I have a new dell inspiron 5150 w/ a 1350 wireless network card.  Also, I've got a D-link 624 router.  Until last week, it all worked perfectly.  Then, as i was surfing the web, i lost my connection.  All the lights on my router are blinking (except the status light which d-link support says is ok) and the wired connectivity works just fine.  I noticed in the taskbar that the signal strength bars and the wirless network icon are both "x"'ed out.  I tried right clicking and to enable the radio....didn't work.  I tried fn-f2, and although a pretty radio tower picture toggles between off and on, the radio is still disabled.  Also, under those settings, it is unable to find a network.  I've tried un-installing the network card and re-installing and have spent hours on tech-support.  It says the device is working properly under device manager, but the RADIO IS DISABLED and i can't figure out how to enable it.  Any help would be much apprecaited.

Have you looked at the card where the antennas plug on and make sure they are firmly seated?  Have you tried a different channel for the wireless router WAP?

Log into the D-Link 624 and in the wireless area there is a way to change the channel - move to 11 or such.

Thanks.  I called d-link and they reset my router to channel 1 and reconfigured it.  Also, I called Dell and they couldn't figure out a thing, so they're sending me a new wireless card.  Hopefully that'll solve the problem.  I had a friend w/ a similar problem and it turned out to be a windows xp problem.  thanks
