9300 problem connecting wireless to Linksys Router

Well, I am about at the end of my rope.  My new 9300 works fine connected via ethernet wired to the Internet.  When I unplug and attempt to connect wirelessly using Intel 2915 setting automatic IP I can not connect to Internet.  My hardwired computer shows the following info when running ipconfig.  I have tried all types of configurations usinf various IP's and DNS and no luck.  I am running XP Professional and have a Linksys WRT54GS behind a Westell modem and Norton Internet Security.  Hardwired running XP Home and McAfeee Security Center.

My other problem if someone wants to respond is seeing the laptop on the network for file and print sharing.  I have two existing computers that can see each other but not the laptop.

Your ipconfig output does not show the necessary information to help you because it was connected to the router by the ethernet cable and furthermore does not show any information about your wireless network card.  Is the wierless network card enabled?  Does it show up in Device Manager with no problems?  Does it detect the presence of a wireless network?  You say you are running WEP encryption.  Are you sure you have entered the proper hex key for the WEP encryption on your wireless network card?  Do you have any other security features enabled, like hiding SSID or MAC address filtering?  If you are running MAC address filtering on the router, have you entered the MAC address for the wireless card on the 9300 into the allowable MAC addresses on the router?  Have you tried disabling all security features on the router as a troubleshooting step unitl you can get the wireless network to work?

As for file and printer sharing, the 9300 will not be seen until it makes a connection to the router and obtains an IP address.  Furthermore, all software firewalls must be configured to allow local network access.  On any computer running Windows XP with SP1, disable the Windows XP firewall. It will not allow File and Printer Sharing. On computers running Windows XP with SP2, make sure that the Windows XP firewall has File and Printer Sharing checked off on the Exceptions tab. If you are running any third party firewalls, like those provided by such programs as Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security, or McAfee Security Center, make sure they are configured to allow local network traffic.

The wireless card is active and I am able to connect but not get to the Internet.  On my router the following shows up.  The RFLAPTOP is the one not being able to get to the Internet.  I have entered the proper key and I am not restricting MAC Addresses (where I must put them in the list in order for the router to accept).  As you can tell, I know just enough to be dangerous.  I checked my other Linksys wireless desktop and these are the settings and it works fines: 192.1268.1.103, Gateway 192.168.1.1, DNS 205.152.144.23, MAC 00-0F-66-52-A3-0E.  Is there a way I can turn all firewall stuff off and try to connect and if it works to bring each back one by one to see where I may have a problem?

Do you run your router in mixed mode (to support both 802.11b and g)? I had to turn on mixed mode on my linksys router to get my laptop working. I couldn't use my 9300 with exclusive 802.11g mode, though I didn't even get a IP, so this might not be the same problem.
