Bluetooth Mouse Questions, Experiences. Comments please.

Just got an Inspiron 6000d with Bluetooth, and got the Kensington Pocketmouse Bluetooth from Dell. I don't have a Bluetooth PDA or cellphone, but thought this would be a nice feature for the future.

Anyway, I have used usb wireless mice, and thought it would be a nice touch, to not have to plug in the typical USB dongle everytime it came in or out of the case.

However, whenever I boot or restart the machine (possibly wake from sleep as well), I have to re-establish the connection using the touchpad and the bluetooth utility. I tried to use "pairing", but it will not accept this for this device.

Does anyone know a way to have this connection remain permanent (or automatically re-establish on startup)?

Is there another (better) Bluetooth mouse that will establish or retain the connnection?

(the re-establishing is more trouble than plugging in a USB dongle or wired USB mouse :smileymad: )

Ok, chalk this up to operator error. Turns out you must click the scroll wheel (or probably any button) on the mouse to wake it up after startup/re-booting, I am used to just moving a mouse to wake it up, however, this is much better, cause the mouse goes to sleep, to save its batteries, and any movement would contiually wake it up ( ie. when it is in a briefcase)

I am now VERY happy with the Bluetooth Kensington Pocket Mouse!  No cables :smileyvery-happy: No dongles :smileysurprised: This is awesome!

The only thing I would like better. would be a smaller one, that docked in the side of the lappy! The Dell dimension touchpad is the best one I have used, but I still hate touchpads.
