Bluetooth not working.

Hello.

I have a problem with my bluetooth. The operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate. In device manager on my Latitude E5420 there is bluetooth adapter, the driver is updated and again I can't use it. In command prompt there is bluetooth network connection, but status is disconnected. When I click with right button over the icon in system tray and chose "Open properties" theres nothing, it shows me 2 seconds thinking circle and nothing. Also can't find anything around. When double click on icon and try to open "Bluetooth devices" loading with green color in address bar is endless.
Can you help me ?

Best regards!

Hi Petar Petrov,

Please ensure the Bluetooth is turned on. There is a wireless switch on your computer to enable/disable wireless/Bluetooth.

You may also try to uninstall and reinstall the driver.

Uninstall the driver from the ‘Device Manager’. Right click on the entry for the Bluetooth and click ‘Uninstall’.

Install the driver from the link http://dell.to/19TUEL2.

Keep me posted with the results. I will be glad to assist you further.

jeevan_knadukuri,

I have read something that you have to press buttons on the headset for 7 seconds until they flash, to be able to pair.

Hi jeevan_knadukuri,

I would suggest you to check in ‘Device Manager’ if the Bluetooth device is getting detected or not. You may follow the steps below:

  • Press ‘Windows’ key + R on ‘Desktop’ screen
  • Type ‘devmgmt.msc’ in run box and press ‘Enter’
  • Click > sign next to ‘Network adapters’

Please paste the screenshot of ‘Device Manager’ if possible.

Keep me posted with the information. I will be glad to assist you.

Hi Dell-Kuldeep M,

I try to uninstall and reinstall the driver, with this you provide me with link. But there is the same situation. When I restart Bluetooth adapter from front side button the systemtray provides me a message " Your Bluetooth adapter is turned on, but is invisible. You can connected the PC only with paired devices. Click  here to change this settings." When I click on these balloon-nothing. When try to open settings-nothing. Any other ideas ?

Hi, Dell-Kuldeep M.

Install the driver, but gives me that already installed the next version. Uninstall the driver from Device Manager, install the drivers from the link again. and it shows me the same message.
Constantly caught in a vicious circle.

Hi Petar Petrov,

As installation of drivers is not helpful, I will suggest you to restore the system to factory settings.

You may refer to the link below for steps on how to restore the system to factory state.

Note: Please back up all your data before restoring / reinstalling Operating system on the machine.  Dell will not be responsible for any data loss/ data back up after operating system reinstallation.
