Broadcom BCM94309MP Latitude C610 Windows 2000 Strange Problem

Windows 2000 has the driver loaded for the TrueMobile 1450 WLAN wireless card.  However, the OS sees the 1450 as a normal Ethernet NIC and not as a wireless device.  Also, the utility that I run for the 1450 from R94827.exe claims that there is "No Compatible Hardware".

Has anyone else encountered this?

I also confirmed that the Wireless Configuration service is started.

I would be willing to bet you need the older version of the utility & driver. I have seen the same issue with the Intel Pro 2100 wireless NICs where no compatible cards are found because the driver is not 100% compatible with the card. Just a thought, look for previous versions.

Good Luck,
Thom

Jim,

I just installed a 1450 card and got the same thing.  Did you get a resolution to your problem?

Thanks,
