Nic65,

The drivers were not installed in the correct order. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Download and install in this exact order...

Dell System Software, v.6.5.0, A05

Intel PM45 Express Chipset Family, GM45 Express Chipset Family, v.8.7.0.1007 , A00

Ricoh Card Reader R5C833, v.3.54.05, A01

Then download and install...

Broadcom BCM5784M LAN, v.11.9.1.1, A01

Go to Dell Warranty Status enter your service tag, click on original configuration. Look and see which wireless adapter is installed. Then go to  Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag, select your operating system, under network, download and install the drivers.

Then download and install Dell QuickSet, v.9.2.6, A00

Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled

Nic65,

Sorry for the delay, work.

Just install the drivers in the exact order. You should see things starting to work.

Hi Rick

I've tried this a few times but can't find the right driver :(

This is the information from my configuration that I think I need to look at

C797C0SERVICE CHARGE..., HYPERTEXT MARKUP LANGUAGE..., WIRELESS..., HMCRD, INSPIRON..., M09

H006K1Card, Network, Half Mini-Card 5100, Screen

P911C0SERVICE CHARGE..., DRIVER..., WIRELESS..., HMCRD, INSPIRON..., M09

And from this I chose this driver

Dell Wireless 5700 VZW Mobile Broadband CDMA EVDO MiniCard, Wireless 5720 VZW Mobile Broadband (EVDO Rev-A) MiniCard, v.2.09.01.14 Build#023, A03

(Driver)

But it doesn't work, says that the software isn't installed.  I then tried the other driver

Dell Wireless 5530 HSPA Mini-Card, v.1.0.11.13, A06

But this doesn't work either.

I've reinstalled the ethernet connection but would love to fix the wireless if you can help?

Thanks again.

I'm on holiday for two weeks after tomorrow but I'll check again after that.

ta

nic

Nic,

Try Intel Intel(R) WiFi Link 5300, Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100, Intel(R) WiFi Link 5000 Series WLAN Half-Mini Card, v.TIC153101, A02 for your wireless adapter
