Computer freezes when wireless card is turned on.
Hello, I have a Dell Latitude D610, and I've been having this problem since two weeks ago. Just today, I've had the internal wireless card replaced and nothing was solved. I even reinstalled Windows itself and the drivers, but whenever the wireless is activated, it still freezes once I'm 25 seconds past the Welcome screen.
I'm assuming this is appearing to be less and less like a software problem, because whenever my wireless card is turned off, my computer functions properly. Help please.

If replacing the card doesn't change anything then it is unlikely (though still possible) to be a hardware problem. In my 20 years of computer support I have only seen the replacement part have the same hardware problem twice.
Based on your description I think Davet50 has the right idea. Try uninstalling the software for the card, go into Device Manager and remove the entry for the wireless card, then install the latest version of the software/drivers and reboot. If you want to be really thorough about having Windows 'forget' old settings that might be causing problems, try uninstalling the software, powering down and removing the card, starting up to verify its gone (which causes Windows to save the registry without the wireless card entries), then powering down and reinsalling the card, powering up and installing the software/drivers and finally rebooting to save the changes.
You might also want to check to see if the wireless card is trying to automatically connect to another network as the system is starting up. If it is, but isn't configured correctly to connect to that network, that might be at least prt of the problem.
Another bit of testing: What happens if you have the wireless off, power up the computer, and once in Windows you enable the wireless card? Does it still work, or does the problem show up again?
