DNS, I think, networking for sure

I am having trouble getting to certain domains...with a browser either firefox or explorer... I can ping the domains fine. I can get to the domains from other computers on my network...so it is one machine that is a problem. This started after my machine froze up and i had to do a poweroff in order for it to shut down. Since then real problems. I have all firewalls turned off. I have done ipconfig /flushdns and the set of commands that Dell recommends on their site to solve dns problems to no avail. I have went back and restored to earlier dates...same problem. I have however been successful getting to the domains when i sign on in safe mode with networking support...as administrator not sure why. I am running out of ideas...I am perplexed and i am an old networking guy. THanks

I'll make sure to follow this thread. My M1710 is doing something very similar. It will stay on line for 2 - 5 hours and then just drops connection and cannot get it back on. I have hooked my other laptop to the network and it does fine.
