DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error message on blue screen o'death

This error meassage occured after the laptop was connected via ethernet cable to a linksys router. The laptop has an intergrated wireless card but the router would not recognize it wirelessly so the hard wire connection was tried resulting in the blue screen of death. Please advise> 12-18-2005 08:25 AM

Further info....when I went into the setup mode   F2 and disabled the wireless capabilities, the laptop runs fine. Tried to use system restore and then went back and enabled wireless with blue screen appearing again. I am not a well versed user but it would appear that the linksys router reconfigured the intergrated wireless card. Dell techsupport wants me to spend top $ to solve this problem.Linsys tech support says that Dell should solve the problem. Any hightech folks out there have any ideas? thanks and Merry Christmas!!!!!

Try going into Device Manager, removing the wireless network adapter, rebooting, then reinstalling the drivers for the wireless network adapter.

When dealing with a BOSD please remember that this message is inteneded to help you to fix your system. I would suggest that you get the lastest wireless driver for your system. This BOSD can mean that there is a conflict and you will need the lastest driver to fix it

Hi,
I have been having a similar problem as Rashmed. I think it is related to using the Cisco VPN software. I have a new inspiron 6000(a week old) with the Broadcom NIC and Intel integrated wireless. Also, I am using XP Media Center, which I suspect may also be causing a problem.

My computer crashed pretty consistently. What is BOSD? And where should I get the latest wireless driver?

Pat

I don't have the back up cd's that came with laptop (locked in my daughters dorm for xmas break) I am afraid that if I uninstall without the software that came with the computer, I may be without a paddle on Sh*t's Creek!!!
