Daughters Studio 1558 laptop

My daughters laptop had a major virus and the fix resulted in a complete reinstall. Loaded fresh Windows 7 and then used the driver DVd that came with the system. Everything seems okay until I tried to use the wireless network this used to be on. The new install...no wireless at all., only broadband! Frustated now... please help. What did I do wrong??

mlamgmpaz,

When you reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Desktop/Notebook system software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Start with the Desktop/Notebook system software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

If I did them in the wrong order....do I have to start all over again? Just asking...thank you!
