Which model computer do you have? Which version of Windows did it come with? When you say you upgraded, did you do a clean install (format the hard drive and install Windows 2K) or did you upgrade over the original version of Windows on your system?
My Laptop is Inspiron 510m and it came with WinXP. When I say I upgraded it I mean the install was successful and everything else is working fine. Its just that I am not sure of the Ethernet controller drivers for this HW and hence wanted some help in identifying the drivers compatible to this hardware.
Also to answer your other question, I did not upgrade over the original version but I formatted my harddisk drive and then installed the new OS from scratch.
I would suggest that you first install the chipset drivers. It turns out the Windows 2K chipset drivers are the same as the Windows XP dirvers and can be downloaded at:
Since Dell doesn't sell this system with Windows 2K, it does not have Windows 2K drivers for the Intel Pro /100 VE ethernet network adapter on its download site. You will have to go to the Intel web site to find the drivers for this device.
