Dell Mobile broadband card utility

I'm looking for someone who know's something about the mobile broadband card utility or if there is a mini-pc card available for a Inspiron 6400/E1505.  Dell talks about it in the owners manual and tells you how to connect and configure it, but NO ONE at Dell can tell me how to get it.  HELP please.

check this link.

but i would prefer windows managing wireless internet rather than the Dell Wlan utility. thats because you wouldnt be able to move to different routers if the Dell Wlan utlity is managing wireless.

When you order a 6400 you have the option of ordering it with a Dell wireless card or an Intel Wireless card.  If it came with the Dell wireless card, the Dell utility should be installed on the computer.   If you ordered with the Intel card, then the Intel Proset utility will be installed.  If you did not order it with a wireless network card, no utility will be installed.  If you do have the Dell wireless card and you need the utility, you can download the drivers/utility package (that will only work with the Dell wireless card, at the following site:

Thanks I appreciate the links.  I downloaded the software and it worked out fine.  I can't understand why dell doesn't ship the install and drivers discs with the purchases anymore.  Now you have to pay for them. ARGGGGGH.

I agree that it is bad that Dell doesn't automatically ship the Windows reinstallation CD and the drivers and utilities CD on most systems.  Still, there are hundreds of messages on these forums that explain how to get them (for free) with all indications that Dell promptly complies with requests.
