Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.22n WLAN Mini Card-Going going GONE Wifi Signal

I have tried:

running anti-virus and spyware software

updating the drivers

rolling back to a previous system restore

resetting the winsock catalog

I have two laptops (one Dell and one Acer) at this hotel.
Acer has a good WIFI
signal - Dell has poor to none.
I have had no problems until a few months ago
and I haven't downloaded any new programs.

It's as if something is just blocking the signal.
HELP!!!

Hi spachick2000,

I am sorry to hear that the WiFi has poor reception and appreciate the steps performed to troubleshoot the issue.

To provide a resolution to this issue, please provide the requested information:

1. The system model (E.g. Inspiron 1545 )
2. Was the WiFi working properly in other places apart from the hotel?

Please reply to this message with the details.

spachick2000,

Go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag number, then select your operating system. Under Network, download and install the latest drivers.

Try these tweaks...

Start, control panel, device manager. Click on Network and then right click on your wireless adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.

Click on advanced, and look for antenna diversity. Some adapters have this and some don't If your adapter has this, try changing the Antena Diversity from Auto to Aux.

Go to the power options, and changed the Wireless Adapter Setting, from Maximum Power Setting to Maximum Performance.
