this wil never ever be working as the Dell SW utility is working only with Dell Cards. I don't understand why your it department means to use the dell utility you have to support yourself.

The Cisco Aironet Client utility could work with the most Security implememtations. I installed various constellations in the last 6 years (yes since 1999 i work with Aironet HW/SW).

Ask what for security settings (WEP, WPA, WPA-PSK, EAP-TLS, PEAP, LEAP) they want to have and i will tell you the Aironet Client utility setup.

And tell them that the Dell utility is working under the Cisco CCX (Client compatible extensions program) so what you could configure in a dell environment you will have much faster working in an Cisco environment. This experience i made myself as i have Cisco and Dell installed in my Site Survey  Notebook.
