Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility does not display the "Wireless Networks" tab in vista
I have installed Vista 32bit onto my inspiron E1705 with a 1490 dell wireless card. The wireless works fine (Except for 802.1x and LEAP) and I can connect to most wireless networks without issue, however my company has security in place that is GREATER THAN the security that comes with the VISTA Wireless Manager can support. I have installed the Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility for my wireless card and laptop...It installs fine and actually works as the utility, however, I cannot MANAGE the wireless connections with it. I need the added security support from the utility.
How can I make windows Vista release control and allow the dell wireless utility control it? The Wireless Networks Tab is missing from the top of the Dell Wireless Utility. I have been unable to resolve this issue...
I have found lots of how tos on how to turn off the dell utility and let windows vista manage the connections, but nothing the other way around. Any Assistance on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.

I have the same issue. I am running a Dell Vostro 1520 laptop and Windows is currently in control of managing the wireless networks. However, I would like to use the pre-installed Dell Wireless Utility to manage the networks. How can I do this? Thanks.
