Dell latitude e7470 and Dell WLD15, I can not connect.

Hi, I have a Dell e7470 ultrabook and I bought a WLD15 dock, according to the DELL page, WLD15 is compatible with the latitude e7470, but nothing works for me.

www.dell.com/.../the-dell-wireless-docking-station--wld15--wigig-capable-

According to the WLD15 startup guide, you should install the 'intel wireless dock manager' but it gives the error 'a WiGig device is not installed on your computer' and the software corresponds to the 'WiDock_3.0.50135' version (latest version as of 20 Of July 2017).

Then I forced the installation of 'Intel Wireless dock manager'. But when run 'Intel wireless dock' I have the error 'WiGig has been disabled by a physical switch of the computer' but if you know the Dell e7470, they will know that there are no switches.

I have checked the drivers, I got the latest drivers for Windows 10, installed 'intel driver update utility' and updated all the drivers. I even installed the 'Dell support assistant' and found no new updates.

In the action center, it does not detect the WLD15, either on 'connect' or 'bluetooth', nor on 'wireless screens'.

I do not know what to do to detect it.
what can I do?

gabriel2085,

Which WiGig card do you have installed in your computer?

The Dell Wireless Dock (WLD15) is the second generation WiGig docking station for Dell. It is designed based on the Tri-band Intel 17265 802.11ac wireless local area network (WLAN) and Intel WiGig 1.1 specifications.

The WLD15 Wireless Dock will not connect to systems equipped with the previous generation Dell Wireless 1601 WiGig WLAN device.

You are right, I need the Intel Tri-Band Wireless-AC 17265 card, and in my case I have the inteal dual band AC 8260 card, it will never work in my latitude e7470 while I have this card. I wonder if I can change it for the AC-17265?

gabriel2085,

You could try exchanging the card for the other.one. It would also depend on how long you have had the card.
