I'm not sure if you mean you have bought a new card recently, but if not: As I read it, your wi fi connection is working but the LED does not light up.  This has actually been happening to me intermittently, so I researched and found an answer, which is to search for the card's driver on the dell site and download it to your desktop; extract the driver and note where it is placed (which folder).  Then in device manager find the wi fi card, right click it, click update driver, select manually find and browse to where you extracted the driver as above.  As soon as I found these instructions my wi fi light started working again so I have not done anything about it yet, but I hope this helps you.

hi, sorry I couldn't get back before now.  Are you able to connect to the internet on the problem computer using a wired (ethernet) connection?  Have you looked at Device Manager, what does it say for the wireless card - any question marks or exclamation points? Can you go to a command prompt and type ipconfig /all, and paste the results here.  If you can't get on to the internet with the problem computer you can copy the result on to say a usb drive and then paste the results here. It might be helpful to know which computer you have.

Hi

I solve problem by removing the "Dell Wireless WLAN Card utility" program. But I am wonder because this program installed by driver ad present by DELL , maybe it is not proper for vista windows.

So I recommend for all user with this problem that uninstall Dell Wireless WLAN Card utility and then install wlan driver.
