Difficulty home networking (Sub Spooler System App)

Hi All

Im am trying to set up a wireless home network (For the first time) 2 machines are involved. 1/ desktop Dell Dimension 2400, 2.4ghz P4, 512mb ram, xp home 2/ Dell Inspiron 5150 2.8ghz P4, 512mb ram, xp home. Both are installed with wireless cards.

The ADSL modem (3Com) is conected to the phone line and the Belkin wireles router is connected to the 3com modem by use of a network cable. Both Machines are able to access the internet wirelessly through this set up although are not able to share files or printers. The problem comes when I attempt to run the netwok wizard. When it is run on the Dimension, whilst It is attempting to configure the machine for networking, I get the message "Sub spooler system app encounterd a problem and needs to close" the wizard then reports it has failed thus the network is not configured.

Any assistance would be much appreciated as I am close to chucking both machines and router out of the window!!!!
