Driver for US Robotics Modem
I have a Dimension 4100, which was built 9/5/00. It still runs perfectly, but wonder if there is an upgrade for the 3-COM US Robotics 56K Voice PCI Telephony V. 5.19.0.1. There is a download for a4hawk9x.exe which shows a V. 5.19.0.4. Would this be an update? If not, I find nothing on the US Robotics site for anything other than OEM 3298.exe. How can I tell what version this driver is, and whether or not it is an upgrade.
TIA

Cherokee64,
The file that you reference a4hawk9x.exe is a minor update to the USR driver that you already have. This new driver will not offer any new functionality or any increased speed. It is a minor update that is a fix for some obscure issues with the modem software.

Thanks for the reply. I won't try to install the drivers mentioned, and I see that Dell recommends that you NOT install them for my Model, and date it was built.
Now, my question is, how can I reinstall current driver? I have a Drivers and Utilities blue disk for the Modem, but clicking on the setup give me an error? I don't find the Modem driver on the Resource CD either. Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not too savvy when it comes to this type of issue. I am having connection problems, and my ISP, (ATT) recommends reinstalling the modem drivers.
Any information would be appreciation, and thanks again.

Is it necessary to UNinstall first, or can I simply reinstall over the existing driver?
Again, thanks for the assistance.
