Enabling wireless on my Latitude D600
I am somewhat of a computer novice so excuse me if I sound like a stooge.
I have a Latitude D600 with Centrino. I was under the assumption that I do not need a wireless card with the Centrino built in. Is this correct?
If I do not need a wireless card, how do I enable the wireless aspect of my computer? I am looking all over the screen and at my networking options and I see absolutely no reference to wireless. I do have a wireless router at home, but again, it does not seem that the "wireless" is even turned on.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Hi,
The Intel centrino chipset used in the D600 does have wireless capabilities. Just ensure you have the wireless feature enabled in the bios (F2 I think on boot-up). You'll then just need the OS drivers which should have come on your Dell set-up CD. If not they're downloadable from the dell site.
I have also heard that all D600 also come with a Bluetooth module installed but disabled as default (set to 'not installed' within Bios) I don't know if there is any truth in this but it may have worked out cheaper to add this module to all D600s and just disble rather than remove each time. I think an updated bios is required if this is the case to enable it.
