Ethernet drivers not installed :(Code 28)

Hi , i just did a clean re-install on my laptop . After a lot of windows updates and installing drivers from the CD . My Ethernet is not working or even detected by my system. Yet my wifi works perfectly . 

Please help me !

I have a Dell XPS L502x .

Hi Raghav.Rohatgi,

Error code 28 indicates: The drivers for this device are not installed. You may install the driver for Ethernet for your computer from link: http://dell.to/10Q4Cc2 

If the issue persists, you may check in system BIOS if the Integrated NIC is enabled. You may follow the steps below:

  • Restart your computer and tap F2 at Dell logo. 
  • Once you are in system BIOS --> Navigate to 'Advanced' tab --> Enable Integrated NIC if disabled --> Save settings and restart.

Please share the findings.
