Files still visible with File Sharing turned off

I have Network Discovery turned on but Turned off file and printer sharing on Desktop A. However, on laptop B, under Network, A is visible as well as all files under User > MyName. I even tried to Turn on password protected sharing, but I can still access all the files in Documents on A from laptop B.

I also tried right-clicking on Documents on A and choosing Stop sharing from drop-down menu, but that didn't work.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
