Yes, I can testify to that as well..

I am now using ndiswrapper with mandrake linux 9.2 on an Inspiron 5150, In fact I am posting this using my new linux wireless..
abit fiddly to setup, but flawless once your done..
I have it setup with my own SSID, and WEP and it connects faster then it does in windows.

If anyone has any queries about what I did to get it working, feel free to message me.

There is no need to purchase the Linuxant driver, nsdiswrapper works flawlessly with broadcom truemobile 1300 and 1400 cards.
(If I can get the broadcom modem working now, I'll have this laptop fully functional in linux.)

Which driver did you download? Under both the dell true mobiles the download link was blank.

I didn't download any..... I already had the latest windows driver loaded anyway...

There is only one ndiswrapper download, so grab that, then get the inf and sys files from the windows driver, and put it all in a directory somewhere in linux.
Then untar the ndiswrapper and follow the directions in the readme.. its a piece of cake. :-)
