How can I fix my network controller? Latitude D600
Hi. I have a Latitude D600 and I'm trying to get the wireless up and running. My problem is in
the Network connection page I have no wireless link.
I have an intel proset adaptor? I'm not sure whats happening with it but also in Device manager under network adaptors there are two - Broadcom 570x gigabit controller and
- Nortel Ipsechm adaptor. - this one has a problem.
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
I've tried to reload the driver. Windows cannot find it?
I've also tried to uninstall it but it wont let me?
Is this the the reason I cant get the wireless working?
Sorry for all the questions....I hope some people can help me sort it out.....

Ok I tried to reboot in safe mode but I couldn't log on. I don't know why?
Also Ive noticed that in Device Manager there is listed under "Other Devices" another network controller
that has a proplem too. I can uninstall it but it comes back and I can't find the correct driver for it also....??
I hope this extra info helps also....

There is one Broadcom (which is needed) as well as four possible Intel Drivers.
BIOS Setup (F2 on boot) should tell you which Intel you have.
Remove (in Device Manager) that "- Nortel Ipsechm adaptor. - this one has a problem. .."
before install of new one.
If you did an OS ReLoad, you should also load All the Chipset Drivers before any other drivers.

thanks for the replys. I installed the Intel (pro) wireless Lan 2100 3A mini PCI adapter and its now working a treat.
Still can't uninstall the Nortel thing? Anyway Ive disables it so should be ok.
Thanks again
