How to set up isdn?

Presently I am using a dial-up modem.  I cannot receive DSL in my location, unless it is sat.  The phone company told me I could get ISDN.  How difficult is it to set up?  What would be the best ISDN terminal adapter to purchase?  This would be used with one or two computers.  I have a Dell Dimension 4700 running windows xp.

ISDN won't really get you much higher speed and will cost quite a bit more (probably more than DSL if you could get it) as it requires a full period digital line (which costs more than a regular telephone line).

ISDN, about 15 years ago, was going to be the "next best thing" for integrated voice and data communications in business (not residential) but it never caught on and had a lot of implementation problems.  Commercial business' went on to better and higher speed solutions.
