Inspiron 1525 wireless

Help!

I have had the wireless network going fine, then decided to disable it.  Now I can't get it back.  Hardware and drivers appear to be working fine according to device manager.  Windows cannot detect a wireless network.  The on-off switch I have just found has no effect, the wireless light does not come on although the wireless logo comes up briefly.  The "wi-fi catcher" comes up but no wi-fi networks identified.

Another Pc is working fine with the same wi-fi network (3Com wireless router).

Looks as though windows VISTA won't talk to the wi-fi hardware even though the driver appears to be installed and says it does not need updating.

Any bright boffins out there?

Thanks,

David

When you disabled the wireless, how exactly did you do so?  Which wireless card to you have in the system?  Have you tried right clicking on the wireless icon in the system tray (down by the clock) to see if the option to enable either the card or the radio helps?
