Inspiron 2600-Can not connect wireless card - Error Code 12

I have an Inspiron 2600. I have also a Memorex wireless router working good.
I tried install 3 diferents WCard:  Netgear, D-Link and Belkin to my Inspiron 2600.
The 3 Cards works perfect at my daughter IBM Thinkpad T23 and at other Toshiba Sattelite.
But on my Inspiron 2600, no way.

In the Device Manager Window, the 9 cards allways get the same Error Code 12 that's means: ... not enough resources; disable some devices ...

I did it and expend a lot off time with D-link, Belkin and Dell Support. At the last (Dell) they told me that Inspiron 2600 only works with some WCard that cost $ 249. (!?) Are you serious?

Maybe some body knows a cheapper solutions. If you know it, can you share it with us?

This may not pertain but you could go to Device Manager, Advanced, Performace and Change registry size to something larger (220 or 330) and click Set and then re-boot.

Have you tried looking in Device Manager and disabling devices, then re-boot?
