Intel PROset - 'An internal database error occurred...'

Question

I'm not that tech savy so forgive me if I am not using appropriate termonology.   I am posting from a different notebook because my current notebook is not working properly.  I'm not sure what happened.   I went to get online and for some reason it asked me to enter the password for our personal wireless network.  This is really unusual because it has always had that information stored and makes it to where I can access the network.   I entered the password and then it took me to another screen/wizard.  It asked me for the network name, next screen password, next screen said that the wireless settings have been configured for this wireless notebook. 'Click OK to connect to this wireless network.'    I press that and I get a window pop up that says the following:   'Profile Wizard.  An internal database error occurred when saving/updating the profile.'    I have NO idea what has happened.  I haven't installed anything new on my computer.  The only thing I did in between the time my network worked and when it didn't was close my computer.   I have restarted twice to no avail.   PLEASE HELP!   I have an Inspiron E1505   Thank you!!!

Try deleting all profiles using the Intel ProSet utility.  To do this, see the following:   http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/cs-025802.htm   If that doesn't work, try using System Restore to restore your computer to a date before you started getting this error.   Steve
