Seeing same issue with Vista:
Unable to remove Intel Proset Wireless. Uninstall app just hangs while attempting to remove NDIS driver
Also, unable to modify or repair. Everything hangs at the NDIS driver.
I also just tried to remove the driver using the MSI 'device manager' interface. That too hags!

See if you can install the Intel Drivers over top the program.
Intel® Driver Update Utility for Intel® wireless adapters

I just ran into this same problem and found a workaround. Hopefully it will do the trick for someone else!-- In Services, change the Startup on ALL 3 Intel Proset services to Disabled-- Reboot-- Add\Remove Programs - uninstall-- Done! Gone in a flash!Note that stopping the 3 services (vs disabling and rebooting) didn't work...
