Intel Wireless Driver Memory Leak problem. Took >500MB memory!!
I installed the latest Intel Wireless driver for Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG and found that there is huge memory leak problem.
Some people talk about it: http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=36220
The process S24EvMon keeps growing to use over >500MB memory.
The new driver is suppose to fix the security problem for the previous driver. I tried to end the process but I got disconnected after that..
Any solution?

if intel has a fix they will offer it to you. they've never hesitated to email me beta drivers for wireless when I've asked before (when they have them of course). OEMs do not get release quality drivers before intel posts them on their website if the last 2 years have been any indication. The only time I can recall of an OEM having a driver before intel posted was when IBM effectively decided to host a beta version (which intel would email to you but never posted).
Log back off and back on or reset the program. Also, someone a while back posted an intel document that indicated the security problem was with ProSet and not with the driver -- if you want to use WZC and rollback.

"Unfortunately we are unable to provide details of the fixed file(s). We do confirm it has been distribuited, so we recomend you to escalate through Dell*, by requesting engineering, or higher level support technicians to help you. As a computer manufacturer, Dell has their own methods of contacting Intel(R) and resolve your situation. Again, please work this issue through Dell* to ensure all their customers achieve a solution.
Sincerely,
Fernando M
Intel(R) Technical Support"

Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software release 10.5.0.1 is out.
Anybody tried it? Does it fixed the memory leakage issue?
Thanks.
