If it's an Internet Explorer problem you would have to do a windows XP repair to possibly fix it.  As an alternate, the new I.E.7 is available for download from Microsoft.  You may want to upgrade and see if that fixes the problem.  If not, you can always go back to I.e.6.

Clear your Temporary Internet files

Open IE and go to Tools/ Internet options/ general tab and click "delete files" a popup window opens and tick the box "delete all offline content" hit OK, It may take a while depending on files stored, be patient.  When it is done close IE and reopen, see if this helps.
To help prevent this in the future go to Tools/ Internet Options/ Advanced Tab/  scroll down and tick the box "Empty temporary Internet files folder when browser is closed" hit OK

It is wise to do the first suggestion every month or so..

I have had the same issue since I bought my machine over a year ago and could not find help anywhere. Have you been able to solve the problem? Upgrading to IE7 did not help me. The only solution I had was to switch to Firefox however I really need IE for some new interfaces I am working with. Please let me know if you found any satisfaction. Thanks. (I never sent those error reports for other crashes but I make sure to send it EVERYTIME for this because Microsoft tries so hard to crush all browser opposition!)
