I have had my Linksys router for at least a year prior to buying this laptop. There have never been any problems with my husbands laptop. It has only been since I got the new laptop that this has been a problem.  It is also only a problem when this laptop is on.  That makes me believe it is Not the router, but the laptop.

Thank you though.

Well, I did take your advice and checked out the Linksys forum. It seems that it is a Linksys issue and not a Dell issue. Thanks Chris.

I don't know if it's ok to put links in, but figured if anyone else was having this issue, it would be good to have.

Off to find out if anyone on linksys has figured out how to deal with it.

If anyone reads this that has dealt with it or knows the answer, please let me know.

You mean a wireless card?

If that is what you mean, mine is built in to the laptop. I am getting a perfect wireless and internet connection throughout the day except for the one or two times when the internet connection is lost to both the laptop and hardwired pc and I must unplug the power cord to the router and plug it back in. Again, it's only when my laptop is on. When this happens I am still receiving an "Excellent" wireless signal from the router...just no internet.

Thanks
