Keyboard lag when on the internet - PROBLEM SOLVED

I puchased a Dell Studio 1737 Vista Laptop a couple of days ago and am experiencing severe keyboard lag when on the internet.  I tried the suggestion to power down, remove battery, press power button, etc., but to no avail.  Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I got through to Dell Technical Support on their 800 number and the technician solved my problem.  It turned out to be a problem with Microsoft Internet Explorer (ver 8).  Should you experience the same problem here is what to do:

1. Go to Contro Panel

2. Internet Options

3. Advanced

4. Restore advanced settings

5. Reset

Apparently something in an app that I donwloaded or one of the gazillion MS updates caused something to change in the settings.  I'm a happy camper thanks to Dell's Tech Support.
