Local Area Connection on Linux IGD - sloooowi

Being a fool, I ran an internet connection increase-your-speed program, and it installed, or inserted, teh LAC on Linux IGD gateway, which wasn't there before. I connect to my home network wirelessly. This IGD stalls the internet connection when using a web browser it seems. So, moving between sites takes awhile. If I repair the wireless connection, the IGD is disabled, and all is well. However, it will reappear after time, or on the next boot. How do I permanently remove this IGD and get back to the good old days?
