Gator957,

Setup should look like...

Wall > ISP Modem/Router > Wireless router(if any) > Wired/wireless

If using DSL, a DSL Filter MUST be on ALL devices, phone, answering machine, faxes, etc..., everything EXCEPT the DSL Modem/Router.

You may share a DSL Filter.

Wall > DSL Filter > Splitter > Multiple Devices

You'll need to setup the wireless router like you did when new.

How to login to your wireless router use these Recommended Wireless Router Settings I use channel 11. I would make a new SSID to make connecting easier.

Remember to power cycle the modem and the router.

Power off your ISP modem/router and your wireless router(if any) for 30 seconds. Then power on the ISP modem/router. Wait 15 seconds, then power on the wireless router(if any)

Thanks for getting back with me . I am trying to get rid of the wireless router and hook everything up to my wireless modem instead  via ethernet cable to computer  . Even when I disconnect the router completly  and hook my computer to the modem it still seems to look for the router that I had it hooked up to via ethernet cable when I look at the default gateway in command prompt it is still pointing torward the Linksys default gateway

Gator957,

The DSL wireless modem is provided by the phone company.

Did the phone company give you access to the settings? If not, they may have to help set everything up.
