My computer is not connecting to the internet. Wireless Network adapter Issue.
My computer is not connecting to the internet, it is displaying any wireless or ethernet connections. I have read a lot of blogs seen similar but none is working for me. It uses a Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter, and I tried updating it, and it stills doesn't work. Please I need assistance.

What virus program and firewall are you using?
Can you run Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and REGISTERED OWNER, if using XP, run an ipconfig /all log and post it back here.

verdell,
Has the wireless adapter worked before? If yes, can you try system restore to the last time it worked?
Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled
How to start Wireless Zero Configuration using Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8
I am seeing that the Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AG Status: Hardware not present
I see that the wireless adapter is located in a hard to get to location. On page 35 in the Inspiron M5010 Service Manual, it explaind on how to get to it. If you're not handy with a screwdriver, then I would suggest purchasing a USB wireless adapter.

I am sorry I took to long to reply, but I already tried restoring it to an earlier time, and it worked once, then It suddenly lost the connection. I tried it again, and it wasn't showing that particular network adapter that worked.

I will try to unscrew it myself, but if that's not possible then I will purchase a USB network adapter, and see if that helps. Once again thanks for the assistance.
