Could you please try to explain exactly how your network is set up?  Are you using a router?  It looks like you are running Internet Connection Sharing using Windows' autoconfiguration IP address?  If you are using a router, you do not need internet connection sharing at all.  If you are not using a router, how are the IP addresses being assigned on all computers and why are you not just letting Internet Connection Sharing assign the IP addresses?

There are only two computers being networked through the wireless network. There is no router. We're using a Belkin network system. We each have a little adaptor that plugs into a USB port. And then halfway between the two computers (because they are in separate rooms) there is another device that just plugs into a wall outlet.

In the Belkin instruction booklet it says to set the computers to "Obtain IP Address Automatically" so that's what we have them set to do. We then have Internet sharing enabledon both computers but we are still unable to access the internet on the second computer. If I go to the second computer and open "Local Area Network Internet Sharing on COMP1" a window pops up that shows the computer is online and at what speed but I can't open any websites or access a Messenger program.

Any suggestions?

Using this setup, only one computer should be physically connecting to the internet.  How is that computer connecting to the internet?  Furthermore, Internet Connection sharing should only be enabled on that one computer that makes the physical connection to the internet.  If it is enabled on both computers, it will not work.

Only the first computer (COMP1) is connecting to the internet. It is connected through SBC Yahoo DSL. Internet Connection Sharing is only enabled on the first computer. When I go to the second computer, I can see the Internet Connection when I go to Network Connections but I can't access any webpages from the second computer.

If you are online, please feel free to IM me.

Sorry, I don't do IM.  Are you getting an IP address on the second computer (the one not connected to the dsl modem)?  If so, is it being assigned by Internet Connection Sharing and is it in the range 192.168.xxx.xxxx?  Are you absolutely sure that Internet Connection Sharing is not enabled on the second computer?

The 2nd computer doesn't even give me an option to allow Internet Connection Sharing from it.

From the first computer, I can either share from the Wireless Network or from the LAN (DSL). Currently, I have the LAN shared. Is this correct?

The IP Address on the first computer (being assigned by DCHP) for the LAN says 68.127.80.155. For the Wireless Network it says 169.254.196.123

The IP address on the 2nd computer (Automatic Private Address) for the Wireless Network says 169.254.172.27. When I click on "Local Area Connection on COMP1" it doesn't show an IP address. If I right click on that and go to the Properties Window, I can assign an IP Address for it to connect under...Should I type in 68.127.80.155?

It's confusing because you have so many network adapters.  On computer 1, the LAN connection should be obtaining the IP address from the dsl modem and it is (68.127.80.155).  The wireless adapter on computer should be obtaining an IP address through Internet Connection Sharing and it should be in the range 192.168.xxx.xxx).   If you are not using a router or access point, then you should put the wireless adapter in Ad-Hoc Mode.  You should let it obtain an IP address automatically, which it should do through Internet Connection Sharing.  On computer 2, the wireless adapter should also be in Ad-hoc mode and set to obtain an IP address automatically (through Internet Connection Sharing running on Computer 1).  If sucessful, it should get an IP address in the range 192.168.xxx.xxx).

Everything would be much simpler if you just bought a wireless router.  The router would make the connection to the dsl modem and you could connect computer 1 to the wired ethernet port on the router and computer 2 would connect through the wireless adapter.  The wireless adapter on Computer 1 would not be used.  Wireless router are relatively inexpensive and troublefree.  In addition, if your network expands to more computers, they could easily be accomodated with the router.
