Network Card Slot DAMAGED (??)
I have been using wireless internet with decent success for about 9 months now. I would lose signal at random times like many of the posters here.
Now it has become more frequent. But it appears to be hardware related... If I push on the network card (pushing into the slot) with a good amount of force I can get a signal, then I lose it the moment I release the pressure...
Is this a sign of a network card issue, or perhaps the receptor being damaged (or perhaps, over time, displaced enough that the network card doesn't connect without the extra force exerted on it).
I fear it is the receptor. If so, what are my options?
I can always use a USB wireless card, but there must be a more efficient cost effective solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

I am within the 1st year of the limited warranty... I didnt purchase the extra years.
Can you think of anything else that would cause this type of problem?
