Networked printer: constantly spooling. IP numbers inconsistent?
I have a 3110cn printer that is connected to my network via a router.
It works when I first install the printer, but the next day whenever I try to print (from any computer on the network), it just keeps spooling and nothing appears.
John Sikking replied to a similar message in 2006 as follows:
" Your DHCP (from your router) has given a new IP number to your printer. To check this go into your router and see which IP number has been assigned to it. Next go into your printer queue's properties (printer/properties/the ports tab/configure ports/ look at the IP number). Dollars to doughnuts that the IP number displayed no longer matches what is in your routers DHCP table."
And that seems to be right in my case.
How do I stop this problem occurring?
