Networking issue - can't map drive after replacing Optipelx 790 with 7010

Question

I just replaced an OptiPlex 790 with an OptiPlex 7010, and am trying to map a folder on a drive from the 790 to the 7010. This is the first I've mapped a drive between two Win 7 systems and am having problems. The reason I think this is a Windows 7 - Windows 7 issue is because I can map the folder on the drive of the 7010 from an old Dimension 8400 running XP, and the fact that the services mentioned below are in Win & and not XP. For other reasons I've used 'work' as the type of network on both systems. Right now File Sharing is on and is R/W for everyone. Both systems see each other as both are identified on the network map from Networks and Connections. I can use team viewer to get to both of them. I can ping them both as you would expect. When I try to map a folder on the drive of the 7010, I eventually get an error of unknown reasons - I think it has simply timed out. Troubleshooting via windows hasn't helped. I've tried mapping by the Name of the device (ie. Ourdata) as well as its Network Address (192.168.x.x). I did find events saying that the NTRU TSS service wasn't available. As soon as I start that service is ends and provides a message saying that it is sometimes normal for processes to quit right after being started. I then looked for dependencies and found that TPM service was required for NTRU, so I started TPM and it quit immediately saying that things requiring this service won't work if it is stopped or disabled. (I may have the service names backwards. TPM may call NTRU.) I don't have any cryptographic hardware services that I know of unless they come on either of the OptiPlexs. I am remote and family has all left for a fun evening so I cannot access the systems any more to get the exact messages. Does this ring a bell with anyone? I have no idea what to do next. I did just complete an OS rebuild of the 790 and formatted the HD so I don't think a virus is the issue.

I've determined the TPM and NTRU events were not related as I resolved those.
