New TM1400 Driver problem - changed MAC Address?

I downloaded the new drivers for my TrueMobile 1400 yesterday and installed them.  Everything seemed fine but I could not connect to my WRT54G.

After troubleshooting further I found that the MAC address of the wireless adapter changed after the driver install.  It incremented by one.

This is very aggrevating since I (like many others I am sure) use MAC address filtering on my wireless access point.  I had to add the new MAC address to the router in order to resolve the problem.

Has anyone seen this behavior with the new driver?  Is this a bug? a fluke?

Its an Inspiron 600m, A09 BIOS, 1.3Ghz, 1GB Ram, 30GB HD, DVD/CDRW, SXGA+, TrueMobile 1400 a/b/g
Windows XP Home, all updates.

This is a follow up to my own post....

I looked futher into this MAC address issue and found the following that may help Dell...

My Truemobile 1400 has two MACs as it should shown on the sticker physically attached to the card...

11a - 00-90-4b-27-a6-09
11g - 00-90-4b-27-a6-08

Prior to the driver update my card was using the 11g MAC of 00-90-4b-27-a6-08 with my B and G access points.  After updating the driver, it is now using the 11a MAC of 00-90-4b-27-a6-09 even though it is on a 11G network.  This would appear to be either a bug or a design change in the driver.  I have not downgraded the driver to see if it changes back, and I do not use an 11A network anywhere so I don't know what impact it has there.

Thats my info for now.  It appears the folks at Dell at looking into this as I got a call from them this morning.
