No IPX protocol support for 2650?

We have a small in-home network for gaming and stuff.  Some of the older games (Starcraft, Diablo, etc.) require IPX protocol to work.  When I went to add it I found it was not supported.  Is there any way to add it or find it so I can add it?  HELP!

Almost all Microsoft operating systems released since Windows for Workgroups support IPX. On Windows 2000, it can be added as a "protocol" by clicking on "Install..." on the "Properties" page for the network adapter.

Thats what I thought too!  However when I attempted to add the IPX protocol, it was not listed as an option.  I was able to find a hidden NETBUI protocol but no IPX.

Strange! I found  this Microsoft Technet article about IPX on XP! Perhaps it's not shipped with the OEM XP version Dell distributes.

I think you're right.  The protocol must not have been included.  I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere else.  Thank you for your help!

See if you can borrow a copy of the retail release CD from someone. I think IPX and NetBEUI are both in the "VALUEADD" directory on the retail release.

(edit) I don't think there any licensing issues associated with this. A valid XP license exists. But since the protocol is apparently not included on OEM CDs, is a licensee of an OEM version of XP able to use this protocol without violating Microsoft's licensing? Dell moderator comments welcome!
