Places to look to see if the Connection is enabled

 

If you can run the Finding System Information Tool and post the information back here, maybe it will give a clue to the problem.

Let's first try...

Go to device manager(right click my computer, left click properties, left click hardware, left click device manager)

 

Click on network, Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card, Advanced. Look for antenna diversity. Change it from Auto to aux.

 

Start, control panel, network connections.

 

right click on your wireless connection, left click properties. Look for Internet Protocol(TCP/IP), then click on it, click on properties

 

Have your settings match mine.

 

Also try running WinSock XP Fix

I have function with it when I have an OS on the system. The hardware is not showing up on bootup for me to be able to use pxe mode to clone the machine

No Events found!
