Optiplex 780 Network Latency issues

I have several brand new, right out the box Optiplex 780's that are having latency issues when connecting to a network share. The OS is XP and the Network adapter is  an Intel 82567LM-3 Gigabit.  Also when ever I attempt to look at the configuration of the adapter  (in network neighborhood) it takes upwards to two minutes for the configuration to appear. 

The network I am connecting too is novell netware 6.5.
