Optiplex GX280 Wake On LAN
I have just rolled out OMCI to all of our Dell Optiplex workstations (GX260, 270 & 280's) and am now working on scripts to Wake all the workstations up outside of normal working hours for the purpose of patching and inventory etc.
I have a test environment of 15 workstations (3 of each model) all with the latest Bios and imaged from the same sysprepped image according to the model. Each workstation has Wake On LAN enabled in the Bios and the network cards are set to accept Magic Packets as a default setting.
I can use a number of different wake up utilities to wake up all of the GX260's & 270's but only one of the 280's works and only intermittently. I have raised a support call regarding this but has anyone had any similar issues with the GX280's?

Thank you. I did that and I also added the IP address to the mc-wol command line. Now it works. No cable required.
Best,

I have tried disabling Wake On Lan in the Bios, rebooting, re-enabling and then shutting down but this still doesn't work. I am now using a test network with 4 workstations (2 x GX260's 1x GX270 & 1 & GX280) all connected with a Hub. All workstations will wake up apart from the 280 and I have tried 10 different machines now.
I currently have a support call open with Dell but they are dragging their heels!
